Use the alignment in your planning
Every lesson lists its SHAPE America PE codes and the MYP criteria it assesses, so a unit planner can be built straight from the library. Teachers can also generate a full MYP unit or lesson plan — statement of inquiry, global context, ATL skills, command terms and criteria — with Inquira, the free MYP planning assistant. Families following the library at home can start with the homeschool guide.
A balanced PHE year
Each grade combines games, individual movement, fitness, health and aesthetic expression. At least half of planned learning time is active, while knowledge, planning and reflection remain connected to practical performance.
Every criterion strand has repeated assessment opportunities, and every grade includes a Criterion B aesthetic-movement sequence.
Inclusive and Qatar-relevant planning
Lessons include heat-safe scheduling, hydration, Ramadan-aware activity choices, culturally respectful performance options and adaptable roles for varied mobility, equipment and confidence.
Health information is educational rather than medical; students should seek a qualified adult or health professional for personal concerns.
